Homoderus mellyi, commonly known as the crab stag beetle is found in Taiwan. This species has a short larval period of 4-8 months, and a dormancy of 3-6 months. Its bright orange color makes it stand out within stag beetles, overall making it a unique yet peaceful pet to have. The male for this pair is a MAJOR male with the size of 49 mm. The pair has been inactive for about 3 months and is likely to become active soon.
