Dorcus shenklingi is a species of giant stag beetle endemic(unique/only found in) to Taiwan. This species is one of the two endangered stag beetle species in Taiwan, making it impossible to obtain wild Dorcus shenklingi in the market. Reaching a record size of 89.9 mm, it is one of the longest stag beetle species in Taiwan. It is thought to be a close relative to Dorcus antaeus due to the almost identical looking females, and the similarity in care and breeding.

Adult life span: 1-3 years
Compatible larvae substrate: kinshi, log, flake soil
